Most of us who have experienced moving to a new home know how tiring and stressful it can be. The biggest tip we can give to ensure you avoid stressful moving syndrome is to get the help of professional interstate removalists. They can take care of as little or as much of the move as you require - the whole move; from packing, transportation to unpacking, or just transportation of items that you can’t do yourself, such as a piano or the outdoor spa. Now that’s moving made easy.
Not sure where to start or what to look for in a removalist? No worries, we've put together a short checklist of the important things to know and ask any company that you're looking at hiring.

Before your move, let your furniture removals company know of any difficulties they may have accessing your new home. For example, narrow driveways, low hanging tree branches, one way streets etc.
Map out your house plan and where you would like large unboxed items to be placed when your removalist arrives at your new home. Let them know if there are any stairs, narrow hallways etc. that they will have to navigate.
It might sound obvious but our homes are sometimes full of items we don’t actually use or need anymore. Before moving is the perfect time to have a good clean out to sort through the things you really need and those things that you don’t. Have a garage sale or donate items to charity. Having less to move is also a great way to reduce the cost of your move.
We might look after the location-to-location part of your move, but we’ve got some tips you might not have thought about on the post-move side of things as well. Here’s a couple of suggestions:
We’re not guaranteeing a completely stress-free move, but with planning and forethought done early enough before move day, you’ll find your move comes to an end with minimal damage to your mental health. Got some questions you’d like to ask about moving interstate? Please feel free to get in touch.
